I get this song stuck in my head all the time, even four years later! It’s great, and the video is definitely one of my favourites.

Only problem is it’s not a good idea for me to listen to Roxette related stuff in the car... I’m a bad-enough driver as it is!

One of my favorites. I just can’t get enough of it. Nice lyrics, great chorus, very good voice performance by Marie, cool song arrengement and a hilarious video. What more can I say? This must be the best uptempo song in the last 5 years.

marie’s parts are brilliant... i liked it live even more. and i loved the beginning of the “shooting star treatment”-version ... a mix of both versions would have been great!

RS is one of the best tracks on RS :) Classical Roxette song, catchy uptempo with both Per and Marie’s vocals and a great album opener, too.
The intro of Shooting star remix is cool!

personally i’d say real sugar is both the best uptempo rox songs in year and has what i think is the most upcheering video roxette ever made to go along with it... some other favs; tcoth, matah, fool bringing me down to my knees, it takes you no time to get there... rest of the album’s perhaps a bit lame... missing just that magic final (like perfect day on ’Joyride’, or ’Go To Sleep’ on Crash! Boom! Bang!, or even ’Beauftil Things’ (it’s demo being even better though)

That’s why it reached only number 96 in the german single charts. After one week it disappeared and was never seen again.

“Real Sugar” was my favorite song of 2001. I think I’ve grown tired of it though. Still whenever I listen to it I really like it.
