IMHBL on Czech Idol/Superstar

Just for those who care:
One of the final evenings of the Czech version of worldwide known competition somewhere called “Idol” and somewhere “Superstar” took place yesterday (1.5.2005). Which wouldn’t be so interesting if IMHBL wasn’t sung there. I actually expected that there would be a Roxette song, because it was a Love-theme evening. Interesting was the fact, that this song was sung by a boy. Sadly, it wasn’t anything special. I was a bit disappointed, not only because it was a Roxette song, but this boy was one of my favourites. Never mind - he’ll do better next time (I hope). And what about your country? Do you have this competition and have you ever heard a Rox-song there?

There was indeed someone who performed a Roxette song at the Dutch Idols.
Correct me if I am wrong but I think it was Fading like a flower...

In the Austrian “Idols” show (it was called “Starmania”) three Rox songs were sung. At first there was a duet: The Look. The man won the show later on. And in the 2nd season there was sung Sleeping in my car and it must have been love(in the final). The woman who sang IMHBL won the show.

I was really surprised to hear IMHBL last Tuesday..
At first I thought to myself–“my mind mislead me ” :-)), cos the sound was very low ,but when the rest of boys and girls,who were in the rooom where camera was on, start sing it ... oohhh it was a joyride

It’s cool that people are choosing to cover a tune written 20 years ago. I don’t think any other band of Roxette’s genre has standed that test of time. On the negative part, most of those who watch the Idol have no clue who’s the song is originally by.

Yesterday I saw Michal Hudcek how he sings IMHBL. It was great. I almost cried when I remembered we already won´t listen this song from the stage live from Marie.

Hej!:) We liked It must have been love performed by Hudcek. There are a lot of poeple, who criticize it... But I would like to see them singing this song, which is to hard to be in a good way!
I hope Hudcek will continue in Czech SuperStar! I dont like this show at all, sometimes (or always?:)) I think its so stupid! Its not natural to make success by this contest. But I must say, when I heard Roxette, I was so happy about it:)

what do you think,about her performance?
she didn’t win the competition ,but that song was one of her best moments..

The song was released on a CD and last time I checked it was available on iTunes as well - at least in the Finnish store.

Yes, in the Netherlands we have this competition, but there were no roxette songs. However, in a similar program in which a band was formed, the second album of the band contained a song written by Per, anmed ’Hold on my Heart’.
