Why are you just archieving the threads? On every discussion forum I visit the mod´s motivate why.
If you do so, the same mistake won´t be done again.

I don’t have anything personal against any of those people, but from time to time, a *very* old (and childish!!!) war between some of them shows up, and they turn every topic in a horrible and very rude flamewar :(

anyways, we all know how politics (specially US vs the rest of the world) and religion (specially islam /catholic vs the rest of the world) end up here.
Maybe we should declare an “insult-free” day (or year?) here :D

What has happened in life that has caused folks (LaMan and others) to go from folks I’ve enjoyed talking to.... to someone that makes me think twice about it because it will degenerate into a fight or something?
Granted, 2005 has been hard for a lot of people:
Me - lost my job, legal issues
CB (friend of mine) - Getting ready to toss her husband out on his ass
General qorlIS (another friend of mine) - His job got to the point where he had to take Welbutrin (Wellbutrin) and his doctor finally gave him a choice of either quit your job or you’re going to wind up in the hospital for a myriad of different things.
Lady K’Tana - Having to talk to someone about abuse issues when she was a teen just to be able to TRY to have a some-what normal relationship with her husband. Not to mention the fact that she’s diabetic and she’s tryin to get that under control so she MIGHT have a chance at having kids (she’s got grandkids already... albeit they’re her step-children’s kids)
Couple of friends I chat with in other parts of the country are in the process of separating from spouses as well.
But most of us have avoided the “nasties” as we’re doing this. Granted, I’ve always been an asshole, I know this... it’s not any different than I am normally.
So what gives?
