the fan Club deserves a fan's punishment

They are absolutely mad. I think that they don’t understand that there’s people that relly love Roxette, per, marie and their music. Personally, I had in past a lot of problems with the fan club especially with their shop. And now this smart guys are playin’ with our trust in them again. We check evry’ day the news here in the daily this visa’s jewel(they made a more obvios and fair joke) and in roxette.nl and personally if i was able to hack their poor website i’ll do it right now.

that’s exactly what i’m doin’. Im not a member since 2000/2001. I do not buy there and im using the right of talk about the things im thinking about them.
That’s why I check day afer day TDr and never FC web.
I don’t feel that the FC is representing me as a fan, the only thing that represents me is to be proud of listen the music that Per and Marie makes.

Come on get over it already! It was probably in bad taste because of Marie’s situation but it was an April Fool joke on April fools day, give them a break.
BTW I have always brought from the fanclub and never had any trouble :)

Well, I agree Fan Club wasn’t a perfect one regarding Roxette Reviews. But I like their website and I didn’t feel insulted by their joke. Actually, I even planned on sending them “thank you” e-mail for this joke.

It was really bad taste but I don’t think it deserves punishment. As Jud said if someone has a problem with the FC they don’t have to be a member. I’ve heard a lot of bad stories about the fanshop, but I have to say I’ve ordered from them several times and never had a problem. Also I know the girl who runs the fanshop and I know she is doing it in her own free time so I understand that sometimes it takes longer than usual.
Hopefully whoever in the FC that was behind the joke realises that they went too far and they do something a little more tasteful next year, but I don’t see how punishing them will help!

It was a really stupid joke for us!! I have been a member of Official Queen Fan Club since 1996 and this FC did not make a such jokes never. Only Roxette FC but I don´t know if in last years too. I didn´t remember it.

I don’t think there should be some “general fan punishment” - some have god for punishments, others have law - but nobody commited a sin or a crime here ;)
As I said, if you don’t like the fanclub, simply don’t join it - let’s not end up in another flame :P

I don’t think the main point is fans’ feelings (waiting for a Rox album etc) but the fact that Roxette isn’t active right now because of a serious matter. It’s not a cold, it was cancer followed by months of treatment.
I don’t think there’s any need to insult anybody or use violence to make your point be heard.
If you don’t think the fanclub is representing you as a fan (because of this joke or whatever other problems you had in the past) simply don’t become a member and don’t buy there ;)
