Hi Folks!
Warm congratulations to The Centre Of The Heart for winning this album’s TDR survivor poll.
With only 7 votes before the final, the writing was on the wall of the Madonna Inn about the eventual winner :D
Milk And Toast And Honey was eliminated by 26-15 votes, so well done to this song for being the runner up. For me it was nice to see the 3 singles in the top 3: an endorsement to EMI of some intelligent single choices :D What do you think? Here’s the final listing...

I get the impression that, as a collection of fans, we spent quite long voting out songs we didn’t like that much in this poll; whereas in the HAND poll we found it harder to vote out the songs we liked at an earlier stage?
I suspect that many people will say that Fool should have stayed longer :D Yet it was voted out by 16-8 votes in a round with a total of 41 nominations, just 1 less than average. So it wasn’t even close. How bizarre!!

I think the songs on places 6-8 should have been finished higher than Jane and My world...
Anyway we got our results close to what was expected and I want to say “THANK YOU” to Rich for his great job! ;)

I wouldve liked Fool much higher up, and also Little Girl and Try to do better.
Also I really dont like Real Sugar, so I wouldve liked that further down the poll

I think we knew TCOTH would win, it wasn´t a big surprise and it´s ok that this song won. But that Fool isn´t in the first half is a surprise to me.

TCOTH was in HAND sessions but it was not released in HAND album cause Per and Marie prefered to wait and record a better versiom. “The Centre” is a song which you can change in so many ways to make better, it’s a open-song. I think it’s other good point for it... It is my fave RS song and one my faves ever :)

Was it Rich that suggested Room Service was an album of a few great tracks, a few bad tracks, and a few middling ones? I think I kinda agree with that assessment.
And as usual, it’s interesting to see how many people aren’t as crazy about the tracks you love and love others that you think are just alright. There’s all kinds of tastes, that’s for certain.
