Beautiful Things (and the way it was meant to be)

Don’t you think that the Demo version of “Beautiful Things” sounds better than the album one? The sound of guitars is great!

I like the demo but think that the album version is much better especially because of the strings and powerful vocal performance :-)

Agree, demo sounds better and stronger. I wish Marie do more songs like this one. She can write WONDERFUL uptempo songs (don’t know if it’s real uptempo... anyway I mean the fastest songs of Marie’s) but she does it so rarely :(

I love the album version, too, especially because of Per’s backing vocals in the chorus.

I think that you can’t never compare a demo with the final song. i think that the best roxette demo is 727 and the worst is Come back before you leave.

Beautiful things’s demo is nice because of the lead guitar in the middle of the song, but i think is not suitable to the HAND production

I like the demo to CB (BYL)... works better as a ballad than an up-tempo song... and never is a long time has a better demo too - it works better as an up-tempo song... dunno why they swapped them around... oh well.

I agree that the style of the “Beautiful Things” demo doesn’t fit to the “Have A Nice Day” style. I also agree that “Never Is A Long Time” demo version is better than the album version. It’s similar to “From One Heart To Another” (one of my favourites) in my opinion...

i like both versions of beautiful things and demo version, reminds me of ’The change’ / ’the change’ orch version, different feelings in the styles.

Beautiful things should sound softly and BEAUTIFULLY. Exactly as they did on HAND.

the guitar is a bit overblow for a ballad like beautiful things, it demnads a hot string arrangement

The demo version is 100000 times better...

Have not we had this discussion like 5 times before?
Maybe is not just deja vu that I get...

No way. Album version

Both for different reasons ... one songs able to convey two distinc state of heart when listening to that guitar and another one listening to the strings ... there is a sence of emotion u just can’t help feeling in both in each own way but what I trully find amazing here in both is this “beatles-ish”feel into the demo with the guitar and then the final cut with the drum played by Chris Jansson.... that was musically remarkable... by the way I love the intro of the demo ... reminded me of YDUM... cool!

I’m not keen on the demo. The album version is beautiful...Marie at her best, and one of my favourites
