Roxette in China in 1995

Don´t you think most Rox records (or any records) sold in a country like China are pirate copies?

What´s the point of this thread? ummm I don´t know.

i’m a Chinese rox-fan since early 90’s.
you’re partly right ’bout the “pirate” thing.
but, in that time, if you didn’t a pirate copy of Rox, you couldn’t get any kind of copy of their songs, that’s the fact.
usually, there were 2 kinds of so called “pirate” copies. one was really pirated by Chinese underground pirating factory. the other kind, we called it “Dakou” tape (turn into CD later), i was told that they were authorized but have been smuggled, when Chinese CIQ catch those, they cut a gap (sometimes really a big hole)on the tape, to provide ppl listen to it. but still, we could listen anyway.
in fact, since the CBB era, we could buy authrized copy of Rox anywhere in china. i won one CBB and one DBU-GTTC.
it’s really pity that i coudn’t attend their concert at Beijing in China in 1995, i was in another city and couldn’t get there in time. is there anyone can tell me where i could find infomation ’bout that concert? thx alot.
i’m new to this site, and...”Hello, everyone!” :)

Hi voodoo! Check out this thread: http://www2.dailyroxette.com/smalltalk/thread.php/4658

thx sascha!
politcally right still is the important thing in china, not strongly as 1995, but still be.
my brother went to that concert, and told me that was the most memorable night...however, he turn into chinese RAP more recently:(
i heard that chinese officer forbid Rox to sing “i make love to you” at the end of the”sleeping in my car”, but they did anyway:)
it’s kind of like The Doors singing “Light My Fire” on TV.

scrwe politics marie did it for the fans not for the money

she probably just forgot... who’s gonna be thinking about some beuracratic nonsense when they’re really in to the’groove’ of the song?
