similar? when i was learning swedish in folkuniversitetet there was many people from the UK or US and for them it wasnt easier than for me...

well.. i wouldn’t say they are similar, some words might be the same, but that also happens with German, some words _sound_ the same (German is a bit more complicated to write ;)), let’s say it is a plus if you speak English and/or German :)
