Why doesn't Roxette do that?

Hello!

A few years ago it was a well-known thing that for most Roxette-fans, the second band in the world was Bon Jovi.

Few weeks ago Bon Jovi released a box-set with 4 CD’s and 1 DVD which contains 38 unreleased songs plus 13 rare songs released on soundtracks or rare b-sides.

I think if Per and Marie count all their demos and unreleased songs in English and Swedish they could release more than 5 CD’s box-set, maybe a 6, 7 or, why not, 10 CD’s box-set.

It’ll be expensive, but it’ll worth it. A fine presentation, better than the one Bon Jovi has, which is marvelous and ingenious.

Btw, dunno if Rox will EVER release a BoxSet. They’ve been talking about doing it for years, but still haven’t done it. Demo’s, unreleased songs, MTV Unplugged and a live concert should make a nice 4 cd set with a bonus dvd including the making of CBB, HAND and RS with interviews, behind the scenes, video shoots, etc.

The ever elusive Roxette BoxSette is still a dream for many - and I guess that’s what it’ll stay.

Btw. I think most of the rarities have already been released on TBH and TPH. But it’s time for a live DVD!

Jon contacted Per a few years back and wanted to write with him. Per declined, probably scared to do it, or maybe he just doesn’t like him. I’d imagine some great songs would stem from such a meeting.

I think Bon Jovi is a farily good band. But to say that Jon can write good songs might be a little to much to say. I mean look at the lyrics to “It´s my life”. It is not a bad song but the lyrics is pretty simple. Then again a good rock song don´t need to have the most advandced lyrics.

I think it would be great with a Roxette box but I would rather see a new roxette cd.

After Don’t Bore Us, The Ballad Hits, Pop Hits, I think we have enough copies of The Look and IMHBL to last a lifetime without having to buy all the albums again in a boxset! I’d prefer a new album than the same old junk served up over and over, and if they’re not ready to work on something new, make a new Rarities with the unreleased demos or something. But unnghghgh I hate being “forced” to buy stuff I already have just to get the new stuff.

Honestly i just want them to get the whole band together for one big tour again, then put out a nice box set and retire, before they both push themselves too far

At first I have to say I´m also a Bon Jovi fan, I´ve got 5 of his albums.
I like the idea of a great box set with a Dvd in it with a lot of stuff like Behind the scenes, interviews and so on.
But I prefer an absolutely new album with a nice tour and a Live-DVD/CD set afterwards. This would be the greatest thing.
A live dvd about the room service tour would be nice too.

Well, I was thinking that Roxette should do a box-set, because Marie isn’t quite able to perform on stage like in her great days. Until she will be able, a 6-7-8 CD’s box-set with all unreleased demos and songs and so on, it’ll keep us “warm”.

If anyone is interested in Bon Jovi’s brand new box-set, Robrox if he’s interested, here is very cheap.
