"The Change" is surprisingly doing well!

Well this record is far from being commerical seen from that perspective. But apparently its musicality are being incredibly praised. Sucess in Sweden and now even in Germany where the record was not meant to be promoted things are turning the other way around. The single is drawing’s people attention and even the album is now being promoted on TV. I don’t know but we might get a very incredible surprise with it but no one will be more surprised about that than Marie herself!

so where did the album chart ! well as the airplay takes off the more the album will sell fact !.
Where is the tv ad for germany or sweden ?
Starrox said on December 6, 2004 19:26:
TV ad for Germany? Are you kidding? That would mean they actually have to spend money on promotion! ;-)

Havent’t you been reading the posts here on the news section?
Starrox said on December 8, 2004 18:20:
I’m in Germany, I don’t need to read the news articles, I just have to turn on the radio or the TV, read newspapers and magazines or go shopping! Believe me, being played on the radio from time to time isn’t the same as doing well...

Maybe many fans have ordered album from net shops. So it isn’t doing so well on the sales charts.
Starrox said on December 8, 2004 23:06:
Not only maybe! First of all, the album was released later than in Sweden and when it was finally released in Germany, many shops didn’t even have it! And those who do carry it usually don’t have many copies and aren’t exactly cheap - I went to a rather big store (which didn’t have TC at all the week it came out!) today and they only had two copies for 16,99 € buried somewhere in the “F”-section, even though they have a big shelf especially for new releases...

That’s just good. But nothing happened here. I’m waiting this CD to arrive now. My Polish friend just posted 1 to me. I really dont expect The Change could do so fine when I listened to whole mp3’s of this album at first time. Now I’m just happy. But I still hope Chinese mainland or Taiwan could make a domestic release in the furture.

Yeah, lets wait until it has entered the charts and then we might be able to say, it is doing well. Per didn;t even enter the German sales charts with his english solo effort. But then again, I really didn’t like TWATG anyways.
Kiwein1 said on December 10, 2004 11:53:
The Change still didn’t enter German album charts and I doubt it will.

“2:nd Chance” climbed to #8 on SWR3 and reached number one on JumpRadio this week...not bad for not being a single.. :)

@starrox
i think having so much airplay without promoting the single or album is a big surprise and success. marie is also earning money with airplay, but this is not her target, in switzerland a radio station has to pay 7-8 swiss francs per play. this is around 5 euro. not bad, or?
greetz
Starrox said on December 13, 2004 18:50:
Yeah, I agree, 2nd chance getting that much airplay really is a surprise, especially for a single that hasn’t even been released commercially! But in the end of the day, it’s still sales the record companies are most interested in, not airplay... :-/

i am very grateful to have received a copy of the change and i live in australia where the album wasn’t supposed to be released.
got it at my local music shop who imported it.
got the single as well 2:chance.
so yes i think the album is doing well even after the lack of promotion and support but is marie doing anything other than the docomentry? singing live anywhere?
