@Guitarplayers: Solsken Live

Hej!
A friend and I are trying to find out the chords of Solsken Live as it is played on the DVD.
Per plays different chords than one finds in the internet. We found out so far that both MP and Per use a capo in the 2nd feet and play D, G and A in the verse. Per’s also using different versions of this chords.
Now we have a problem with the chorus since they don’t show the guitars on the DVD during the chorus. Is someone able to tell us what chords they play during the chorus? We nearly tried everything. And as I wrote above: the chords you find in the internet are not the correct ones for the live version.
Best wishes,
Kiwein

when I said ’if I buy’ I meant ’when I buy’. I just bought another guitar today so I am having cash issues. Will get back to you on that/oam//

I’d like to buy a new one, too - but I guess I have to save more money for that. Next one will be a 12-string.. :D
Thanks so far for helping me. I’ll give it another try tomorrow. Fingers are already aching..

As far as I remember he only played those extremly primitiv power-chords in the live-version. I was a bit disapointed. They could have made more of this song

Galning: THANKS!
I never learned the power accords, it’s a pity..so I have to start again with trying and playing...

power chords are just major chords with the 3rd missing.
You could argue they are minor chords with the 3rd missing, but lets keep it simple.
so you have the route note (the base note) and the 5th.
So the chords run A5, A#/Bb5, B5, C5 and so on.....
they work best on the 5th and 6th strings (the routes, that is)
Example:
G5
Route note: G, (6th string, third fret)
5th: D (5th string, 5th fret)
Mute all the other strings and rawk out!
The Rule: whether you are on string 6 or 5 this is the same.
To find the 5th: take the route note, go one string higher and move two frets higher.
Have fun, oam
