It could have been such a great record.

I don´t know if anyone else has written this already but I have to say whats been on my mind since the ballad/pop hits were released.

If Roxette would not realesed the two best of albums they could have done on of their best records ever just look att this tracklist.

Opporunity nox
A thing about you
Little miss sorrow
The weitgh of the world
Breath
See me
Every day
Bla bla bla bla (you broke my heart)
It hurts
Making love to you
Stay (At home, at work, at play)
I do belive

I´m not sure if any of the songs has been b-sides on any singel but I know that the two last is on the The look for Roxette demo ep, but they are two songs that i really want to hear on a record.

I think that a record with theese song would have been great with opportunity nox, a thing about you, little miss sorrow and the weight of the world as singels.

I know that this album would have been almost impossible to record and promote beacuse of Maries illness but in my dreams this album was realsed in the spring of 2004 and has sold millions all over the world =)

Yes, some of us created the Cd, Play the music they adore...remeber? ;)

I’m getting depressed now...

I like those “b-sides” songs (specially IH, BBB, LMS and ED)... In my opinion, they are better songs than others included in HAND and RS

But I don´t think they have the “strength” to be released as single...

....”my dog´s an alligator”...

I GOT A CRUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUSH ON YOU! lol

What I don’t understand:

Why was “Crush On You” never released as a single (in stead of “Anyone” or “Salvation” for example)?
Everybody I hear likes COY very much (also persons who don’t like Roxette).
I am sure It would have done much better then Anyone or Salvation.

U are right! It should have been a single istead of Salvation though i love this song too. Anyone whether we liked or not was fated to be that single as Marie and Per loved it the most ... but kept aside for a second single after WISH because as they said “it was too obvious” ... but I would have picked COY as a second single and then maybe Salvation or Anyone but not both too many ballads.

Anyone COY is the most energetic track from Roxette I know and the coolest to shout out loud when u’re drunk in the middle of the night. U should try it’s hilarious!lol

I agree! Crush On You is the best Roxette single that never was, followed by The Rain. I think that the singles from HAND should have been Wish I Could Fly, Crush On You, It Will Take A Long Long Time, Stars then Anyone. All the best from Rich ;-)

I agree, “Crush on you” should have been realesed as second singel. I don´t like the idea of realising two ballads in a row.

“I want you bird of paradise”

per has repeatedly said that the single selections were an emi decision, they left the promotion of hand in a majority of europe up to emi, i guess emi figured they are known for ballads so thats what they would push. anyone is a great song its just got a fairly overblown production on the cd. I don’t necessarily think crush would have done as welll as pay the price which would have made a kick ass performance video

It should be decided by the artists (in this case Roxette) what the next single will be, not by the Record Company (Emi).

@RoxHard: why can’t you download this songs and listen?

Roxette b-sides are hard to find online in Windows Media format. Well... I’ve just heard “Stay”, and that’s a good song...

And I won’t even try to look for TBH/TPH EP songs on eMule again. I already tried... and well, let’s just say the results I got back were depressing! :(
