Some rare Roxette items on ebay

Finally it’s there:

http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=1562&item=63396769...

Good luck to everybody who wants to bid.

Isn’t that scarf slightly overpriced, dear Oliver?

It’s a shame you only will ship to Europe...

Not only the scarf. :)

@kiwein: True, but I had to pick on something, hehe! ;-))

I’m very impressed by your comments.

Did you notice that most of the items are from EURO 1.00 ? Even “Sweden Live”. And some prices are in CHF and not in EURO or US$.

Anyway, I know if you would sell seven U.K. Radio Promo CDs or LS scarf you would give it for free, of course.

I think it’s up to everyone herself/himself if she/he wants to bid or not. But the fact that I have about 10-15 persons who have bookmarked the auctions (per item), shows that I’m not wrong with this 2-3 auctions with high (?) prices. I know quite well how much any Roxette item is worth.

There is a simple solution: If you think it’s too much, don’t bid.

I quite like that scarf ;)

me to it’s nice! :)

@Oliver: I didn’t want to sound personal, sorry if you felt like that! I won’t bid this time because *I* think some items are too expensive, even if they’re rare. But I know that you’re a great guy, especially to make business with, so plz don’t take it personal, wasn’t meant to be!! :)

@Oliver: No reason to get pissed because I thought the stuff were too expensive. I believe you know a lot about prices and stuff, but so do I. I have a pretty nice collection by now and just as an example I can say that I never paid more than 4 Pounds for such a radio promo. They are not even that hard to find on Ebay.co.uk...
I still don’t think there’s a reason for you to get pissed, cause everyone is allowed to have an opinion... It is fully up to you to set the prices and I will do nothing but congratulate you if you sell your stuff! :-)

So no hard feelings, ok?!

@ Per you seem to get a little hacked at most other people if the prices are not to your liking... but the simple answer is and always is, if the price is not to your liking DO NOT BID, DO NOT EMAIL!

@ Oliver, I wanted the PG boxset, and forgot to throw in a last minute bid... damn, not got a spare flying around there have you!

@ally: I know! But the reason why I tell people it is expensive is to warn them not to buy it that expensive when you can get it much cheaper somewhere else! I think it is to fool people by setting such astronomous prices as some people do (I don’t mean that Oliver or you have done that now. It was just an example) and since I think I have at least a tiny clue about what stuff is worth I could at least say my opinion. If that is a problem for you I’m sorry? If you should buy say a new HiFi system and the seller said: “It is the best there is and it only costs $1000!”... would you do with that if someone told you that you could get the same thing for $300 somewhere else?? I don’t think so!!

at least I always ask Per-Axel if I am about to buy something, if the price is ok - he knows what he’s talking about :D

I also think some people are too expensive, I missed the prices of Oliver’s items (links aren’t there anymore) but as an example: gessle.de @_@

Conclusion: some people either have too much money or use credit card too much or are broke and stop eating to buy an LP/CD/whatever ;) I am happy I never paid more than 30-35 Euro for an item :D

Something is only worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it.

Good Point.... I never go over budget, but then I am not a big buyer as much nowadays! :)

I’ll pay whatever i think something is worth, but does that mean ive over paid? no it just means ive paid what i think i should.
People get so hung up over prices these days, it seems everyone wants something for nothing, when i started collecting the internet was an embryo ;) and so things cost more to buy, cheap flights to sweden were non exsistant so i had to rely on record fairs and my monthly copy of Reord Collector magazine to feed my passion.
I can understand everyone has their limits as to what they will or won’t pay (i do too if you can believe that!) but i don’t get all the bitchig about whats a fair price for this or whats a bad price for that, if you want something and its the right price for you then buy it, if not then don’t. simple!

@vix: I agree! My point with, as you call it, “bitching” is to tell other people you CAN get it cheaper if you just open your eyes a bit. Maybe everyone don’t want to pay max prices if the don’t have to and maybe they don’t know about ways to get it cheaper?!
I know that people are prepared to pay different for stuff and that’s fine. But I personally feel much better knowing I paid, say 4 Euros, for a record that everyone else is buying for 40 Euros. If I had bought it for 80 Euros I would have felt fooled and wouldn’t be able to enjoy it. This maybe sounds like I always count everything I have in my collection in money. Well, no! I like a really unrare swedish 7” as much as I like a superrare south african promo. So when I have bought something I actually don’t look much for that anymore since I have it. I do, however, have a quite genuine interst in how much people are willing to pay for stuff. So sometimes I add stuff to my watch list in Ebay just to see how it ends. I think that’s a decease I have, cause it is not only Roxette records that get that attention from me. Also computer stuff is something I like to keep track of both what exists and how pricy it is.
This is why I now and then get heart attacks when people pay 3000 SEK (as someone ones did) for a Spegelboll 12”. I would, to be honest, feel a bit bad every time I look at that single if it was me. But as I said, that’s me! ;-)))

If i worried about all the money i’d spent over the years i’d probably shoot myself. so from a personal point of view why worry? why feel bad about what you paid for something? this would be a very empty room if i hadn’tve spent what i have infact it would echo ;)
if i find something i’m after i pay that price ( although i have my limits these days) as i want it now, not the possibility of having it 2 months down the line for cheaper, doesnt always work ive missed out on stuff coz i didnt want to pay for it.
thats makes me more sad than looking at my collection and thinking OMG i paid what for that etc.
its nice to find a bargain but nearly everytime someone posts stuff on here theres alwasy ppls who jump in and say they can find it cheaper but can next to never post a completely direct link as to where it can be found cheaper at that moment.

Who is too say that the person who bought spegellboll for 3000 was not a lottery winner! :)

ROFLOL!! Good one Ally!!

@per-axel: let’s not say any more about cheating people....does it ring any bell the MF/PG new cardboard album releases? ;)))

Per: nevermind, if people like to be fooled, let them - sometimes it is not even worth it trying to explain ;)

@mihnea27: THAT had NOTHING to do with cheating people!!!

jud: exactly, if ppls are clever enough to find their way here then surely they use ebay and other places too. this wouldnt be the first place that you’d automaticaly look.

and afterwards you can always sit home and laugh at the prices others pay for items you payed max 10 Euro and think the great annoying sentence “you see, I told you.. if you would only listen” ;)

@mihnea: I never cheated anyone in my life. You can ask all my friends (and look at all my feedback on e.g. Ebay) if you want. Just because you are a bad loser you don’t have to attack me over and over again. But just to clear your fogged memory: YOU offered me a price for those CDs! I NEVER asked for that much money! If you hadn’t been so hot on those CDs and bidded like normal people you never had to pay that much. 100% your own fault and if people here got to know the full story I’m more than sure they would agree. I know you’ve been talking bad about me to some and those I know about agree with me after my explanation, just so you know..
But I honestly thought that you were that much of a man to face that you fooled yourself and that this oooooold discussion was over by now.

Now I have to vouch for mihnea27 here, he has bought a lot of me through eBay and I think some private sales (my brain is a little foggy) and he is an excellent buyer! one of the best I have sold to! :)

ebay is evil ! ;)

@ally: You’ve got mail!

@PAM: Yes, it was old discussion, and I admitted most of the fauld was mine, I was just trying to give an example about over-valueing things. No hard feelings for that one, Per-Axel! Just giving an example, OK? ;)

@mihnea: Well, that was not really what you said. You said I was a cheater and that I don’t like to be called since it is not true. And to make it clear; it was you who valued the things, not me. My Ebay startprice was $9.99, which was approx 5 SEK profit for me on each CD. That because I wanted at least something for the work and gasolin I spended to get those records. I am after all not a charity organization... ;)
But fine, I’m not the one who can’t forgive and forget. But please don’t call me a cheater and talk bad behind my back in that case. Thanks!

Per... what did he end up paying for those albums?

I think it ended with that he paid approx. 20 Euros each for them (there was three he bought).
