Looking for Don't bore us Vinyl

I´m looking for it. Is anyone selling it? Thanks!

I know this topic was some time ago....

but in case anyone is still looking it is on eBay not long to go now!

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=25906&item=4070...

Wow! Another sick price on Ebay!! ;)
But that is on the other hand what one can expect on that specific Ebay..... ;-)))

Sick price? It’s the first time in 6 months I see this item in eBay. By the way, I’m still looking for it. Anyone can help?

Yes, I think the price is sick! I would never pay it at least... I paid a a bit more than 10 Euros for mine.
Sorry, can’t help you for the moment, but if I find one I let you know! :-)

I wouldn’t pay that for a lousy vinyl. We have it on CD! Why do you need it on vinyl???

Yes, but I’m in love with the sound of vinyls and I’m killing to hear June Afternoon and SDLHA on this format. Anyone can help, by the way?

Got to agree... vinyl rocks!! Those BIG covers... the raw sound... goosebumps!! Does anyone know if this item was common at the time of release? And am I correct in asuming that this was a UK pressing only...?

For some strange reason I have found myself wanting more vinyl recently.... and I just bought a copy of Record Collector in my lunch hour something I have not bought in ages, and there is an up and coming record fair in Manchester soon! YAY!! :)

I agree!! Vinyl is so much nicer than CD. Both to hear and to look at. :) I wish they would have released HAND and RS on vinyl as well!! :)

Vinyl sound is crap! I’ve always hated vinyls. I agree, the big sleeves are nice to see for a while, but the sound is really horrible. I don’t have my own turntable, but a friend of mine has one. Last time I went to her house, I brought some new/unplayed LP’s that I’ve bought some time ago (just for collector purposes). Her stereo is very good, and has big speakphones. But when I played those vinyls (they are new, you can’t see any scratch or mark on the surface), arghhhhhhhh... You still hear scartches!!! There was not dust/lints either on it. That is inevitable, I think. You can’t avoid those annoying sounds... As I said before, they are nice as an adornment. But if you wanna listen to the music clealy, play a CD. Vinyl sound quality sucks!

NEVER.... vinyl sound is well cool! old but cool! :)

@Staffany: If you are THAT picky with clear sound I suggest you buy a DVD-Audio system instead. Cause I honestly think that a lot of CDs sound real shit as well. A sound quality of 16 bit/44 KHz is simply not enough to fill up the whole register.

But I still think old records should be on vinyl. It was that way they were meant to be played and meant to sound. Well... my opinion... ;-)

CD sound is not scratchy, at least. I agree, some old CD’s (like “Pretty Woman” soundtrack) don’t have good quality. But ther are not annoying sounds on it, like on the poor vinyls.

Staffany... in all honesty I think there musta been something wrong with your friends LP player coz it ain’t supposed to make scratchy noises on NEW/UNPLAYED vinyl!!

I’m in the process of collecting Kraftwerk vinyl... they’re absolute musical geniouses but I wouldn’t dare buy any of there stuff on CD!

*mental note* should make a point of getting more Roxette remixes on vinyl!!

The record player is OK. No one problem with that. That noise in inevitable, because vinyls have dust in the furrow. And the needle rasps on the vinyl surface. That produces a horrible noise/scratches you can’t avoid... Come on, you must admit vinyl sound is not perfect!

@Staffany - in the last few days I have played my Rox vinyls and the only scratching etc has been at the very begining before the 1st track starts. No other noises apart from that, and its the same on ALL my vinyls, some dating back more than 25 years.

Vinyl sound ain’t perfect, but it is good! :) and some stuff is just made to be played on vinyl! :)

And the main point of this topic: is there anyone outside with a Don’t bore us vinyl for me?

Keep looking, I am searching for one as well!

Good luck to you!!! :-)
