The lyrics are different from original and I can’t find them anywhere.
Can someone post it here?

I’d like to help you, really - I even have the demo on my pc, but I can’t stand listening to it - it’s awful, Per’s killing all the cats with it...uah...I never made it to the end of this more than only awful demo..

I really like the Milk&Toast&Honey demo. It’s a really tender version of that song. I noticed the lyrics are slightly different, not just in gender terms (Per sings about “her”, Marie about “him”). But I don’t pay much attention to the lyrics, to be honest. That’s the reason I can’t help you. Anyway English is not my first language, and sometimes it’s hard to understand to me.

’True love might come from behind’ is the only notable difference I remember...
I don’t have it on my computer anymore, if some kind soul could perhaps email it to me at
[email protected]
then I would be very appreciative.
- done, thanks to those involved :)

@zargo...hmm...I wonder why they edited that lyric before selling it to the native english speaking world. a ’bad english’ day would be had by all. That would have gone straight to the top of the old ’per’s best quotes’ thread. Oh I could go on....but I won’t.

“To watch you in this candlelight” and “to watch you on the fields of green” is also being sung in this demo (during the chorus)

In full then :)
Milk and toast and honey make it sunny on a rainy Saturday, he-he-hey
Milk and toast, some coffee take the stuffiness out of days you hate, you really hate
Slow morning news pass me by
I try not to analyse but didn’t she blow my mind this time
Didn’t she blow my mind?
(Here she comes) - To bring a little lovin’, honey
(Here she comes) - to watch you in this candle light
(Here she comes) - is everything that matters to me
(Here she comes) - is everything I want in life
Milk and toast and honey
Ain’t it funny how things sometimes look so clear and feel so near
The dreams I dream, my favourite wishful thinkin’
Oh she’s bookmarked everywhere, everywhere
True love might come from behind
You never know what to find but didn’t she blow my mind this time
Didn’t she blow my mind?
(Here she comes) - To bring a little lovin’, honey
(Here she comes) - to watch you in this candle light
(Here she comes) - is everything that matters to me
(Here she comes) - is everything I want from life
(Here she comes) - Oh lay a little lovin’, honey
(Here she comes) - to watch you on these fields of green
(Here she comes) - is everything that matters to me
(Here she comes) - is everywhere I wanna be
(Here she comes) - To bring a little lovin’, honey
(Here she comes) - to watch you in this candle light
(Here she comes) - is everything that matters to me
(Here she comes) - is everything I want from life
(Here she comes) - Oh lay a little lovin’, honey
(Here she comes) - to watch you on these fields of green
(Here she comes) - is everything that matters to me
(Here she comes) - is everywhere I wanna be
To bring a little lovin’ is everything I want
To lay a little lovin’ is everything I want
Here she comes
Didn’t she blow my mind?
Didn’t, didn’t she blow my mind?

ouch. glad they gave that one to Marie, due to the concious (or unconcious) amout of innuendo. that would have been just wrong with Per singing, but funny nonetheless.

arent the is’s supposed to be here she come
she all i ever wanted in lief etc.
I alwayts wondered who in the end changes the lyrica cause sometime spers demos are horrid gramatically, same with marie
RobS said on October 15, 2004 08:04:
Definitely not one of Per’s better vocal performances. And didn’t he write this song for Marie??
Zargo, just sent you a copy of the demo. hope you’ve got room in your mailbox!
ncurran said on October 15, 2004 09:08:
can someone send this to me too? i’d like to hear it
ok ive got it thanks....interesting.

Thank you!
Now I see I heard the words correctly :)
I like this demo probably even more than original (don’t blame me :)) I think the demo lyrics “sounds” (it’s not about meaning) better. Before I heard it I wasn’t a big lover of MATAH but after, the song grew up for me.
@ncurran check you mail! :)
Edited-2: ncurran, you’ve reacted while I was writing about my sending (:
