RIP Mr. Reeve

I am back, not for good. I needed to write somewhere and thought this would be the place.

Breaking News: Christopher Reeve dead at 52.
Why the tears of sadness when I’ve lost so many dear people in my life? Why the tears when I had never met the guy nor was a fan of his movies? I cried because a man who was the symbol of hope in my lifetime is gone. I just can’t believe this. Noone deserves to die but more than that, he didn’t deserve to die. He lived each day to walk again and he never did.

To honour the man, stop complaining of your aches and pains. Put on your Superman suits ( I know you have it somewhere) and think of him kindly. Live each day to the fullest for you never know what tomorrow brings.

Tis sad he has died, did never like superman films, but liked the film he remade just before his accicdent “Village Of The Dammed”.... RIP

dear god every icon of my generation is dying off...its disturbing...how did he die?

He died of a heart attack, probably as a result of over working his body in his tireless effort to find a cure himself and others like him.

Look at it this way. He was a very brave individual, determined to live and make most of his life even when he had had a terrible accident, something which is the stuff of everyone’s nightmare. to me, he is a real hero. he dealt with the cruelty that life gave him, defied the odds and made it. I think he led a more fulfilling life than most of us allow ourselves with our functional bodies.

RIP Christopher reeves :”(

Kachina: That’s why I said “stop complaining of your aches and pains”.
coyboy: “Reeve went into cardiac arrest Saturday at his home in Westchester County, New York, after developing a serious systemic infection during treatment for a pressure wound. He slipped into a coma and died Sunday afternoon at a hospital near his home.” This is apparently common in people with paralysis.
He was a real hero. Speechless I am.

Maybe one of the few heroes both in fiction and real life.
RIP

I think he died really 9 years ago.
His life wasn’t real life......

*performs the Klingon Death Howl*

May he be welcomed in the hallowed halls of Sto-Vo-Kor YEARS before Gret’hor realizes he’s passed.

He’s the REAL and the BEST superman!

kriszta: His life was real. There is light at the end of the tunnel. Do you know how many people look up to him??? Do you know how many research groups started because of him?? Do you think a person who becomes paralyzed should lose the battle and consider himself dead? NO!
