Walking around Tower last week I stumbled upon a new compilation called “Trance Party” Vol. 4 (mixed by the happy boys). I usually love dance compilations because they’re always filled with cheeez from Europe, you know songs that just ROCK.:) Anyway, the last song is a cover of Listen To Your Heart by a group called d.h.t.. Of course it’s a piece of crap but it’s still fun to see a new version of a Roxette song.

D.H.T.’s original LTYH version was a slow piano version, sung in two voices, witch was quite ok. The one on the trance album is probably a remix.

DHT slow piano version (Unplugged Edmee’s Vocal Mix) was single solo :)

The remix is bloody marvelous! Havent heard the slow version. Its seriously the best cover dance version ever done of a Roxette song.
;o)

I think you don’t.....
These bands should be banned and kicked out!
How dare they to cover (and in a really bad way), no, rape is the correct word, such a beautiful song??
Covers should be forbidden!

I’ve heard tha cover of LISTEN TO YOUR HEART by a singer from Polland. It had alomost exact melody as in the original, but the words were in Polish adn totally different, I guess.

@ Mattias & Harriej: I guess you dont like clubbing, dancing, etc. If you did youd understand why these songs were covered and why some of us actually like it. Nothing better than being on the dancefloor and they start playing LTYH or FLAF these days. Makes my evening or shall I say, morning. ;o) Oh. And next time, before ripping these DJ’s or acts off, think about it in a broader perspective.

It never beats the original (by Roxette).
And no: I am not into clubbing and dancing.
carbon_boy said on October 14, 2004 09:26:
Well, Harriej, I guess it comes down to the same principal as sitting at your fave restaurant or bar/pub and they play a rox song, i.e LTYH. Now, how could they ever possibly play LTYH at a club?! Not gonna happen.... so my thanx to DHT.... and once again my comment about judging: how can you judge if you dont understand the thought behind it? (And I’m not pointing a finger at you Harriej, it’s just something I’ve noticed from a lot of folks on this forum.)

I heard this song in a club in Chicago, and the funny thing was all of the people were singing along, because of the original i guess:)
