More reports in Swe press of trouble within Roxette - mainly centering around the decision to release Fav From C!B!B! as a McDonalds promo - harming album sales and causing a flop in the USA.

from my point of view it is obvious, that there was something more then just friendship between P and M. If you watch available videos and docs, you can get to state, that that was shining mainly from Marie...That is the simple reason, why Micke doesn´t like Per so much...I suggest he knows about it...And there´s just one more point...rivality in the field of music, where Per wins undiscutably and widely...Think about it...

I was also impressed that MARIE didn’t invite PER to HER wedding. I always thought that THEY are friends (but not more, actually). But still it’s a bit sad that MARIE didn’t invite PER to HER recordings as PER did.

Besides this was over TEN years ago - and the historians have another thousand interpretations of one thing or another... Check the archives - there’s probably another 1000 answers to this Q ;)

aury if u ever watched the really roxette documentary marie laments in it that their firendship is more that of business that they way their friendship used to be...rolf nygren warned per of this and obviously he didn’t listen...maybe per and marie being off on their own for more that 2 yrs at a pop would do them both some good

Man, it’s 10 years ago, go on! Because of stress Marie and Per weren’t so close friends anymore in 1994/1995, but even then they did regret it. When you follow more recent interviews you’ll see that they rebuilt their close friendship in the following years. In the last 2 years of Marie’s illness Per met Marie on a regular basis. Just as friends, they didn’t talk about business at all! Every relationship has it’s ups and downs...

Anyway...I never heard that Micke and Per did not get along. Marie said they played tennis together and stuff like that.
About the wedding: well yeah this has been discussed before, but some people don’t read EVERY topic every day. So this is what I know about it: Per was asked in the Questions to Per on the HAND site about it, and he said Marie didn’t invite him. There are all kinds of rumours that they weren’t getting along around 1994/95, and Per has admitted that he was insensitive to Marie and pushed her to work when she wanted time with her family at that time, so that could be an explanation, or it could be something as simple as Marie wanted to keep work seperate from her private life at that time.
Of course it sounds strange to us who all want to believe that P&M are best friends, but if Per understands her reasons and doesn’t hold a grudge, it’s not up to us to get angry at her! There was a topic a while ago where some people criticised Marie about the wedding and for never including Per’s name in her thankyou notes on CDs etc, but I think that’s a pretty weak reason to get angry at her when they don’t even know her or her reasons!

She knows how much of it, patience, strength, heart, it took us, to be on this side, holding on to silence and faith. Certainly she knows. Just as we must know, and learn, that it is faith that must prevail over everything else. Even silence. As I’ve said times before, we must force ourselves, for as hard as it looks over the moment or the circumstances, we must force ourselves to hold on to the positive signs we are given. Are these that have to lead us in hoping. Are these that have to mean the most. Then again, and again as I’ve said times before, we were never totally left in the dark, Per was always a bridge over Marie’s silence, he was always a light (most times dim, yes, still a light) in our dark, every once and then, he was, and Marie knew that just as well, she knew he would be. She knew there was more than silence in the end. :) And ultimately she thanks us for our understanding over it. :) Thank YOU Marie!

Thanks Sweepi, you’re sweet! A few people told me they cried so I’m not the only one who got emotional hehe. It was really weird to be living 10 minutes from her and getting the news that she was back and feeling fine, I wanted to run to her house and hug her immediately!! But, of course that wasn’t possible....well it was possible but not something I would do!!

Hardly either. :) Heck, I’m as far as in Portugal (hardly!!! 10 minutes away) and I felt like going and hugging her too! :) It is just the natural wish, for letting her feel the much we cherish for her being well and back. :) Blame our hearts! :) And the same goes for getting emotional. I mean, it took me a day to prepare my heart for listening to “2:nd Chance” (only played it Monday night), for I feared my emotions. :) Worse! I find it hard to watch because it brings back so many memories of Marie and also my friends and the great times I had, then I always find myself wishing to be back there! Gosh I cried from the first to the last minute, listening to the CD, now I can just guess the reaction to seeing the DVD!!... The comment about the DVD was actually in connection to the conversation Sweepi and I were having about the DVD....the comment was to SWEEPI, not the rest of the forum and I was telling him/her about the smile so that when she watches the DVD she can look for it and laugh about it. I realise it turned into a personal conversation but I didn’t have Sweepi’s email address to keep talking to him/her.
