Ain’t a clue, but I picked up a real good album of his music just instrumental on eBay the other week, really is good! :)

[edit] @ally, yea I just bought the album off amazon.com.

Whats it like?

Last year he worked and toured with Per if that’s what you were looking for.
This year I’m not so sure what the guy is doing.
Right now I would guess his whatching TV...

lol. i was more looking for info on records he’s worked on etc. But thankyou, I’m sure he probably does spend some of his time watching TV too...

He was in a band called Pray For Rain who had one album (I think, tis the only one I have anyway)

Also appeared on:

Frida’s (Abba) solo album ’Djupa Andetag’
Niklas Strömstedt’s album ’En Gång I Livet’

I know this coz I’m sad and read album credits ;)

Probably done several other appearances too.

Have no idea where to find Pray For Rain album, have only ever seen my copy and I can’t remember where I got it from, I have them performing on a Swedish tv show somewhere too.

Think he’s also on a Rikard Wolf album, but can’t be sure *goes to check*

I can send you a copy of Pray For Rain if you like, as far as I know it was deleted ages ago.

cover looks like that (without the autograph)

cool, i just dropped you an email. tack!

Yeah the instrumental album is called “EVERGREEN” It’s good!! :)

One of his first bands, “Horizont”, has a pretty good record. Plenty of guitar (progressive) work.
But personally, I think Jonas strenght are riffs and backing guitars, for solos I preffered Micke Nord.

micke nord’s solos are pretty excessive and cheesy, but still technically good (see CBB live video and cringe at harleys and indians!)

Jonas is a technically better guitar player, he’s more versatile and he can REALLY solo. sometimes his licks are so fast its not even worth watching. I used to play guitar quite seriously, but copying jonas to any great extent is too hard. Tears of frustration!

@ferdan, any more info on horizont appreciated!

Horizont - Horizont. released in 1978
CBS records. 83114
If i´m lucky I might be able to get it soon.

Jonas changed his style in Roxette, his solos became kinda boring or repetitive. But it must be normal after so many years of playing solos over so simple chord progressions.

@ferd: i’d like a copy if you manage to get hold of it.

@ferd I’d also be interested in a copy if you find a source.

@Vixzter, thanks for the pray for rain album! got it today.

no problemo, glad it arrived.
