If you have the opportunity to “release” a following single for each album, what would be your choice?
This is my selection (I didn’t include compilations or the useless “Baladas en Español”):
From “Pearls Of Passion”
“So Far Away”, the very first Roxette power ballad. And it would be included on “The Ballad Hits”!
From “Look Sharp!”:
“Sleeping Single”, my favorite song on the album.
From “Joyride”:
I thing “Things Will Never Be The Same” could be a hit if it’s released as a single. Another powerfull ballad in the “Spending My Time” way.
From “Tourism”:
Too many ballads on this album!!! I pick “Keep Me Waiting”, not my favorite, but the only up-tempo track recorded for this album (along “How Do You Do!).
From “Crash! Boom! Bang!”:
“Harleys & Indians (Riders In The Sky)” is a nice choice, pure rock’n roll. If you look at the stamp on the Cd album (the one I have), you can see this song listed along the other singles, in 4th place. I think it was intended as a possible single release. But it was replaced by “Run To You” at the last minute...
From “Have A Nice Day”:
I love this song since the first time I listen to this album (it was on February ’02): “Crush On You”. Very electronic and modern, but very Roxette at the same time (listen to the chorus and tell me then). Something that lacks on “7Twenty7” or “Stars”: the Roxette style.
From “Room Service”:
“Fool”, definitively. This one is very modern but it has the original Roxette sound. This song has a soul!!! And a room in yellow or orange for the sleeve, please (all the singles from “Room Service” has the best sleeves ever, colorful and fantastic).
