rare&unofficial mp3 HELP!!!

it seems a bit like a nightmare. i haven’t had connection to the internet for some time and now many things changed. i’ve managed to download some stuff from roxservice and from roxbytes but not all. and now roxservice does not work (at least i cannot access to this site - if someone can let me know so that i’ll be aware it’s some problem with my web browser or whatever) and roxbytes the format of the files is being changed (one cannot listen to ogg files on discmans able to play mp3 and i love to listen to those live and rare recordings on discman). so, does anyone know sites where those recordings are uploaded, or maybe someone has similar problem and we could possibly exchange with stuff we have. it’s strange but not so much can be found on eMule or other p2p programs. (or maybe someone claims there is more on morpheus or bearshare? but i don’t think.)
i would be very grateful for help as it’s impossible to find official releases of i.e. unplugged or some other rare stuff.

You can burn audio CDs from ogg files, it’s deady easy. Just read the FAQ on ROXBYTES.

but I think he has a portable MP3 player, based on MP3s burned on CDs.

You can also convert OGG to mp3. Just read the same stuff :-)

yes, thanx. i’ve read the FAQ on roxbytes just after i had written that here. well, i would persist there were things on roxservice that cannot be found and couldn’t be found on roxbytes, like for example the song for childdren’s choir written b per, some stuff of amrie singing with jazz band. (these i have) and i think there was the whole unplugged concert, i mean about 20 songs not 12.
and i suppose changing ogg to mp3 cannot be too effective, can it? i mean i’ve never done that but both are lossy formats.
i used DC++ for a long time and found even the “jag har förstått allt men jag kan inte ge några detaljer”, which i couldn’t find anywhere. maybe i should return to that? the problem is as you know ferdan, one needs to share a lot on dc++, and my HDD is only poor 40GB and i’m having mandrake on one partition.
and yes, i mean portable cdplayer with ability to play mp3. i would go bunkrupted if i wanted to burn even all the roxette and roxette related songs as an audio-CD :D.

Well, anyone willing to give a server and bandwidth enought to host files in wav format should e-mail me.
BTW you will hear no difference on your portable mp3 player if you converted ogg to mp3... Also, most of the files on ROXBYTES are not studio quality ones, so there’s no point in talking about conversion loss.

As I understood, roxbytes are good, aren’t they? I’m not really good at downloading.

I Was So Lucky have been download all the rox song but for GT I missed it...!!!

roxette.org, the host of most of the files no longer exists. So no, it´s not your browser.
You should try DC++ (http://dcplusplus.sourceforge.net/) , and look for Swedish and Czech hubs(servers). You can find interesting stuff over there.
